ON THE WALL - PART 1
In the unforgiving Australian centre, the only survivors struggle in the shadow of global warming. Broadcast onto the Wall is daily news; nothing is believed as truth unless shared for the nation to see.
In one colony lives Iris. She supports the system, immersed in the way of life. But the Wall lies, slandering her mother, turning the community violent against them. Iris transfers to the largest colony undercover to find out what went wrong - exploring the true meaning of family and how far a person will go to protect someone they love.
The Wall trilogy encapsulates the sinister ‘Big Brother’ manipulation from ‘1984’, and embodies the awakening in ‘Never Let Me Go’ to the terrible truth. It’s an ode to the Australian landscape and those inspiring people who can survive it. It's also a warning; we have limited our emotional intelligence by buffering and numbing with devices - rather than fulfilling our deep-seated psychological need for human connection.
This is Jacinta's debut trilogy series, due to be published soon. More information coming soon...
