ON THE WALL - PART 1
Set in a dystopian future in the unforgiving Australian centre, the world’s only survivors struggle in the shadow of global warming. Information is shared between the 52 colonies via broadcast projected onto the Wall. Privacy is stripped of meaning and nothing is deemed true unless shared for the nation to see.
In the smallest colony we are introduced to our protagonist: Iris supports the system and is immersed in the way of life. But when the Wall lies, slandering her mother, it turns the colony violent against Iris and her family. She volunteers to transfer to the largest colony to find out what truly happened in hope of clearing her mother’s name - exploring the true meaning of family and how far a person will go to protect someone they love.
This story also serves as a warning... We have limited our emotional intelligence by buffering and numbing with social media - rather than fulfilling our deep seeded psychological need for human connection.
This is Jacinta's debut trilogy series, due to be published in 2021. More information coming soon...
